X1 and X4 win at MRCup Summer 2024, Round 1 in Czech Republic

The first race of the MR Cup series took place on a very popular track in Blansko. There were cars in TC Modified, TC Pro Stock 13.5T Justock, GT stock 17.5, Formula 1 and TC Hobby categories.
After Friday's practice sessions, which were affected by rain, Saturday's race was held in beautiful weather. In the TC Modified category, Maty Knopp won all three qualifying runs and earned his first TQ at this track. Dan Holish showed a very good pace and deservedly get second place at the start of the final. Pavel Mojzisek improved a lot and took third place. Karel Kratochvíl struggled a bit and so fourth place belonged to him.
In the final Maty confirmed his dominance and with the fastest lap of the day 11.7s he won all the final heats. Behind him the battle for the other positions was fierce. In the end, Dan confirmed second place and very surprised Zdenda Benes, who moved up to third place with the same number of points as Dan.
In the TC Pro Stock 13.5T Justock category 11 drivers competed and Šimon set a high pace from the first runs in practice. Except for the first qualifying run, he won all the other runs and took the race win. Petr Rovny finished second and Filip Bortoli third.
The most occupied category was GT stock 17.5, where 26 cars started. There were very close battles here. Martin Janíček won both the qualifying and the final runs. Dusan Bayer finished second overall and Jiri Bastinec third.
The Formula 1 category was dominated by Lukas Hoch, but Karel "Carlos" Krejcik was improving with every run. Ivo Gombik was a big surprise, he came in third place after qualifying. Ivo was not so lucky in the final and dropped to fourth place overall. Lukas won all the final runs, Carlos confirmed his second place and Tomas Mencl finished third.
In the slowest category, which is dedicated to children, Jan Matha won ahead of Dominik Holik and Jakub Lebis. In this category it is not so important who won, but that the kids have fun.
